Bump and Brew
Pregnancy and Postpartum Support in Lytham & St Annes - with expert guidance, real conversations, and space to ask anything.
Hosted by Birth With Choice & The Pregnancy Emporium
You’re here because you don’t want to go through this alone….
This isn’t just another pregnancy group.
It’s a room full of women who are in it… at the exact same stage as you.
The overthinking.
The googling.
The “is this normal?” spiral at 2am.
The quiet moments where you’re not sure who you even are becoming yet.
Yeah… that.
Bump & Brew is a monthly, in-person space for women navigating pregnancy and early motherhood — where you can talk honestly, ask the questions you really want to ask, and feel like you’re not doing this alone.
No pressure.
No judgment.
No “perfect mum” energy.
Just real conversations, gentle guidance, and a community that’s got your back.
Join us where you’re at and we’ll meet you right there
Bump & Brew is designed for the stage you’re in — because what you need at 8 weeks is very different to what you need at 38 weeks… or 8 weeks postpartum.
First Trimester
Returning in 2027This is for you if everything feels a bit… uncertain.
Maybe you’re excited, but also anxious.
Maybe you’re constantly wondering if what you’re feeling is normal.
Maybe you haven’t told many people yet — and it feels a bit lonely sitting with it all.
Expect dimmed lighting, cosy blankets, ginger biscuits and tonnes of support.
Second Trimester onwards
This is for you if things are starting to feel more real… and maybe a little overwhelming.
There’s suddenly a lot to think about.
Birth. Feeding. What you actually need. What you don’t.
Everyone has an opinion — and it’s a lot.
Postpartum
This is for you if you’ve had your baby… and you’re realising no one really prepared you for this part.
The emotional shifts.
The mental load.
The constant second-guessing.
The feeling of “I love this… but this is also really hard.”
Suitable for mums and babies up to one year.
Expert Sessions in September
hosted by Eleanor (Birth With Choice) and Janine (The Pregnancy Emporium)
Limited to 10 spaces per session
Pregnant: "Pain relief in labour… know your options, from TENS machine to epidural"
Monday 14th September 6–7.30pm at Aura Wellness
You know birth is going to be painful. You're ready to work with your body — you just want to understand all the pain relief options so you can choose what's right for you.
"Have I failed if I need the epidural?"
"What pain relief can I have in a birth centre?"
Inside this session:
We go through all of your non-medical options — from Aura orbs and the TENS machine to water, movement and massage
Pharmaceutical pain relief too, from gas and air to the epidural — the pros, the cons, no judgement
We’re busting the guilt and the myths, so you can walk into your birth knowing there's no such thing as failing — just the choices that are right for you
Pregnant: "Bathing, feeding, pooing… the basics no one shows you"
Monday 12th October 6–7.30pm at Aura Wellness
Mums, bring a teddy… we'll bring the nappies.
Nobody hands you a manual with the baby. So before you're changing an poonami at 3am wondering what on earth you're doing, come and get properly hands-on with us first.
This is your no-silly-questions zone. Ask us anything, we’ve been there!
Inside this session:
Get stuck in — nappy changes, topping and tailing, and baby's first bath, all practised on the teddy you bring (far less wriggly than the real thing)
Feeding options, no waffle — breast, bottle, combi — so you can find what actually works for you, zero judgement
All the tiny "wait, is that normal?" bits, so you can bring baby home feeling calm, capable and quietly smug
Postpartum: "Matrescence… the becoming no one warned you about"
Wednesday 30th September 1:00-2:00pm at Jens Academy of Music
For when you love your baby more than anything… but don't quite recognise the woman in the mirror anymore.
"Why do I feel guilt, love and overwhelm all at once?"
"Is it just me who feels like this?"
Inside this session:
We go deep on matrescence — the huge identity shift of becoming a mother, and why no one prepared you for it
Make space for the messy, unspoken bits: guilt, overwhelm, and the days bonding perhaps doesn't feel instant
Gently unpack how your birth and your body have shaped how you're feeling now
Bring your baby and we’ll take care of you both.
Not your typical pregnancy meet up
An expert-led topic to give you clarity (without overwhelm)
Space to ask anything — literally anything
Time to chat, connect, and just be around mums who are right there with you
Always with refreshments and something sweet on the side
But more than anything?
It’s about how you feel when you leave.
More grounded.
More reassured.
More like yourself again.
Save your space
Each session is £15.
And before you think “I’ll book that later”…
There are only 10 spaces per group.
Not to be exclusive — but because this only works when it feels safe to talk.
When you’re not sat in a room full of strangers.
When there’s space to actually be heard.
So you get the value, support, and space you actually deserve.
Dates are released in advance so you can plan ahead.
But tickets for each session go live just 2 weeks before.

-
Yes. 100%. Babies up to one year old are welcome.
Babies are very much part of the setup — feeding, changing, settling… all welcome.
No one expects a “calm baby” or a “together mum”.
Come exactly as you are. We’ll happily hold your baby so you can drink something hot (for once)…
and we’re always on hand with extra wipes if there’s an unexpected poonami situation. -
Honestly? It’s both.
There’s expert guidance, there’s space to ask anything… and there’s time to just chat and be around other mums who are going through the same stuff and probably have exactly the same worries.
No awkward icebreakers. No sitting in silence wondering when it ends.
-
Not at all.
First baby, second baby, third baby… every experience is different.
This space is for every mum.
-
Always.
Bump & Brew is a space where you can talk openly — about the things you’re thinking, feeling, or not quite sure how to say out loud yet.
And with that comes trust.
We gently encourage that anything shared in the room stays in the room.
No judgement. No comparison. No taking other people’s stories outside those four walls.
Just a space where you can be honest, feel heard, and know it’s held with care.
-
Many women come to the first trimester sessions because they’re not ready to tell anyone yet.
So if something changes… you don’t suddenly have to carry that on your own.
We’re here to support you however your pregnancy unfolds.
You’ll have already spent time with us — and with specialists who understand you and your situation — and we’re here to continue supporting you as you navigate whatever comes next.
Whether that’s reaching out to Eleanor at Birth With Choice or Janine at The Pregnancy Emporium, we’ll make sure you’re supported in a way that feels right for you.
-
Bump & Brew started as a free event back in 2025.
But it’s grown into something much more intentional.
A space that blends expert support, real conversation, and genuine connection - without overwhelm, pressure, or surface-level chats.
No two sessions will ever be the same throughout your pregnancy.
That’s why it’s now a paid experience.
You’ve thought about making mum friends for long enough…
Imagine meeting your village before you have your baby?
“the mums I met at Bump and Brew are now the mums I laugh about my “mum fails” with, go for pram walks with (even on the rainy days because we need to get out of the house) and will genuinely be friends for life with”
