When you’ve completed your hypnobirthing course, it’s time to sit down with your birth partner and write your birth preferences. Take the time to discuss what is important to you and focus on what you want your birth to look like, rather than what you don’t want it to look like. Don’t forget to research where you want to give birth and discuss your options with your midwife too.

Remember the importance of creating an oxytocin boosting environment. Having your birth preferences written down ensures clear communication between yourselves and your care team.

Hypnobirthing is for EVERY birth, so no matter how your birth unfolds, your hypnobirthing ‘toolkit’ comes with you. I recommend writing your birth preferences for your Plan A (e.g. hospital birth) and then a Plan B (e.g. an unplanned caesarean birth), as well as discussing your birth preferences for an induced birth.

Don’t forget to print multiple copies of your birth preferences and give them to your care team, wherever you choose to give birth.

Positive Birth Videos

Everyone has a birth story to share, whether it’s their own or a friend of a friend. What you see, hear, and read about birth shapes what you believe about it. So, it’s important to set boundaries when it comes to others sharing their experiences and to seek out your own positive versions of what birth can be.

This collection of empowering birth stories is designed to help you connect with the beauty and strength of the birth process. These videos are filled with positivity, calm, and real-life experiences, offering you encouragement and confidence as you prepare for your own unique birth journey.

Let these stories remind you that you are strong, capable, and fully in control of your birth experience!

I know what I can control and I let go of what I can’t.
